The apartment is located in the very heart of Rome historic centre: this is the perfect starting point to reach Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), the Trevi Fountain, Montecitorio (the Italian Parliament) and the Ara Pacis. The elegant Via Gregoriana, situated in the Campo Marzio district, leads from Via Capo le Case to Piazza Trinità dei Monti. The street was built for the Jubilee in 1575 under Pope Gregorio XIII, in order to connect the church of Trinità dei Monti to the Renaissance city centre below, thus replacing the staircase by Domenico Fontana and making the access to the Pincio easier. The neighborhood has always been popular among Italian and foreign artists: for example, here is the Palazzo Zuccari, also called the ‘House of Monsters' (Casa dei Mostri). Renovated in the early 2000s, it now houses the ‘Hertziana Library’.
