If you can tear yourself away from Andora’s stunning beaches, this small town has a lot to offer. Beyond the beachfront promenade, there is the medieval castle and the Romanesque church of Santi Giacomo e Filippo. The Parco delle Farfalle (Butterfly Park) is an enchanting area just a few steps from the sea. An oasis of peace in the green, ideal for children, who can play in complete safety, since the park is entirely fenced off. There are easy walks and cycle routes through the lush hills to traditional Ligurian villages. Along the coast to the west, Cervo (10 minutes) is known as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. To the east, the resort of Alassio (12 minutes) makes great day trips. Alassio is well-known for its Art Nouveau architecture and villas as well as the “Budello”, a charming pedestrian street, full of interesting shops and cafés for you to explore.
