Located on the third floor with elevator. Three spacious bedrooms with high ceilings with frescoes, king-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms (one bath tub, two showers). An amazingly spacious and fully equipped kitchen with high quality appliances and utensils and a big convivial table, tastefully furnished and accessorised, creates an atmosphere of comfort and refinement. The dining area opens on a big private terrace of 50 square meters giving on the vicinity of piazza Santa Croce, of which you can enjoy part of the facade, as well as the National Library building and the typical Florentine roofs and tower houses. This is a perfect holiday retreat for large groups or families wanting to have a true Italian experience. Ask me all the info you need about parkings! Access The apartment is at your complete and private disposal. Check-in time is 3PM - 7PM. As we don't have a front desk please let us know a precise arrival time at least 24h before check in date. Any late check in must be requested and approved 24h before arrival. Early and Late Check-In has an extra cost: From 12 noon to 2pm: €10 ( €15 on weekends) From 7pm to 8pm: €25 From 8pm to 10pm: €35 From 10pm to MIDNIGHT: €45 No check-in after MIDNIGHT, except for agreement made previously. Interaction We are at your complete disposal to answer any questions before and during your stay. We have many tips for the city and its surroundings. Neighborhood The name of the square and the quarter comes from the main church it hosts, the Basilica of Santa Croce, well known for the numerous graves or funeral monuments of important Italian historical characters placed within: you can visit the graves or monuments of Galileo Galilei, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Macchiavelli, Rossellini, Ugo Foscolo and many more. The square on which the church overlooks is rectangular-shaped, perfect for hosting one of the most important events in Florence every year: the Calcio Storico Fiorentino. Here, the 4 neighborhoods of Florence challenge each other to win a Palio, an entire beef of Chianina (an Italian breed of cattle of central Italy from which the Bistecca alla Fiorentina has to be made of) and the honor of the win, of course! All throughout the year, the square hosts several other fairs and festivals, from the Christmas market in December to the Chocolate fair in February. During the day, the area is full of life – there are many leather shops around the square and nearby streets, with the Sant’Ambrogio market acting as a main draw for residents and tourists alike as it offers fresh local produce, meats, cheeses and more every morning. The streets around the market offer various places to eat a quick and budget-friendly lunch, with many pizzerias and restaurants on the nearby Via de’ Macci and Borgo La Croce. Once evening falls, the area around the Santa Croce square and most of the neighborhood come alive as the restaurants, cafes and clubs fill up with people enjoying an evening out. There are many restaurants in the area, offering both traditional Tuscan cuisine as well as more modern re visitations as well as ethnic options. At the corner of Via Verdi and Via Ghibellina you’ll find Theater Verdi which hosts a rich calendar of plays, operas, ballets and concerts from October through May. Transit Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which stands for “limited traffic zone” and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red /green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify their need for access in the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters. # Notes ***IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ PAYING ATTENTION*** Age Requirement: The primary guest must be over 21 years old and will sign a short-term agreement at check-in for insurance, tax, and legal reasons. Identification: All guests must provide a valid ID at check-in in compliance with Italian police regulations through a secure link. Failure to do so will result in denied entry. Long-term Stays: By Italian law, stays over 30 nights require a tenancy agreement. No Smoking No Pets Noise Restrictions: Strictly no parties or loud noises. Please be considerate of noise levels when entering and exiting the flat, especially after 11 PM. Visitors: No external guests in the apartment without prior written approval, as per police regulations. Cleaning Fee: Covers check-out cleaning only. Please maintain cleanliness, including kitchen clean-up (no leftover dirty dishes or garbage). Additional charges may apply for non-compliance. Electricity Usage notice: Italian homes have a limited electricity capacity. Using multiple appliances simultaneously may trip the main switch. To reset the power, turn off the devices before switching the electricity back on. The main switch, a white box, will be pointed out to you upon arrival. Plumbing: Only toilet paper should be flushed. Disposing of other items, especially feminine products, can cause blockages and may incur damage charges. Heating Regulations: Per local laws in Florence (zone D), heating is permitted only from November 1 to April 15. Lost Keys: A fee of €100 will be charged for each lost key set. Utilities for Long Stays: For stays exceeding 30 days, the guest is responsible for all utility bills, calculated based on actual usage at the end of the stay.
