Schlachtensee is a district of Berlin, belonging to the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district and was established in 2020 by hiving off its territory from the Nikolassee and Zehlendorf districts. Structurally, the district emerged from several colonies of country houses and villas that emerged in the late 19th century south of the Schlachtensee lake.
