Next to the Campo 24 de Agosto garden, which is still mostly frequented by the people of Porto, you'll find the city's traditional shops, good restaurants, supermarkets and parking lots (for a fee). In front of the apartment is a large square with a shopping area, so you'll have everything you need just a few meters away. Rua de Santa Catarina, Bolhão, Avenida dos Aliados, Galeria Paris and São Bento are all within walking distance of the apartment. A tip is to take the number 500 bus, which starts at São Bento Station and goes all the way along the Douro River waterfront, Foz, the beaches and ends at the Matosinhos Municipal Market, where you can find regional products and the most varied types of fresh fish in the city.
