The ferry to Valetta leaves from Birgu Harbour (a 15-minute walk) where guests will also find numerous bars and restaurants. Malta's typical Mediterranean climate enjoys an average of 5 to 6 hours of sunshine a day in mid-winter and 12 hours in summer. Its remarkably mild winters and deep blue skies make it an ideal place for long walks in the lush countryside. You can enjoy some of the clearest waters in the Mediterranean, hiking, trekking, land/water sports and Maltese festivals. The Rinella bus stop is just a five-minute walk from here, with frequent service to Valletta as well as other towns along the way. The closest international airport is Malta Airport (MLA), approximately a 20-minute drive away.
