THE SECRET GARDEN  è il luogo ideale per immergersi nella tranquillità senza tempo di un antico borgo ticinese. Questa storica struttura si trova nel cuore dei suggestivi vicoli di Bre, un pittoresco paesino immerso nella natura a pochi minuti dai panorami mozzafiato del lago di Lugano e dalla sua vivace città. Attraversando le caratteristiche vie ciottolate, verrete accolti in un luminoso soggiorno arredato con un comodo divano a tre posti, un tavolino da caffè, un tavolo da pranzo per quattro persone e un mobile con TV a schermo piatto. I veri protagonisti di questo ambiente sono il grande camino in pietra e la tipica pavimentazione decorata, che conferiscono alla stanza un affascinante carattere storico e rurale. La cucina, adiacente al soggiorno, mantiene sia il fascino dell'epoca che il comfort moderno, essendo attrezzata con i principali elettrodomestici e strumenti da cucina. Al piano superiore, la casa offre tre ampie camere con parquet, due con letto matrimoniale e una con letto singolo, tutte dotate di armadi o appendiabiti per riporre indumenti ed effetti personali. L’ampio bagno, dal sapore classico, è completo di bidet e vasca da bagno. Dalla zona notte è possibile accedere al grazioso giardino privato della proprietà, dotato di un tavolo per mangiare all’aperto e comode sdraio per godere del meraviglioso clima mite del Ticino.  Un set di asciugamani è incluso nel soggiorno per ciascuna persona, insieme a biancheria da letto e kit di cortesia. Lasciamo anche un cestino con il necessario per una colazione. Il Wifi è gratuito e a disposizione degli ospiti. La struttura non dispone di un posto auto privato. Sono presenti due grandi parcheggi a pagamento a circa 200mt di distanza.  È vietato fumare. È vietata ogni attività commerciale all’interno dell’appartamento. Nei dintorni: THE SECRET GARDEN si trova nel cuore del nucleo storico di Brè lungo la “via dell’arte”, un percorso che consente di ammirare le opere dei principali esponenti contemporanei locali. A pochi passi dalla struttura, il Museo Wilhelm Schmid offre ai visitatori la possibilità di scoprire la storia e le creazioni dell’omonimo artista. Inoltre, la vetta del Monte Brè offre meravigliosi panorami sul golfo di Lugano e le montagne circostanti, insieme a numerosi itinerari immersi nella natura. La città di Lugano, situata ai piedi del Monte e raggiungibile anche con la tipica funicolare, offre una vasta gamma di servizi e attrazioni. Come arrivare: In auto: dall’autostrada A2 prendere l’uscita “Lugano Sud” e percorrere il lungolago di Lugano fino alla zona di “Castagnola”. Dalla Strada di Gandria, incomincia la salita verso il paese di Bré lungo via Aldesago. Dallo svincolo dell’autostrada, si impiegano circa 25 minuti per raggiungere la struttura.  In treno: dalla stazione di Lugano, prendere l’autobus n. 2 in direzione Castagnola e scendere alla fermata “Lugano Centro” (3 fermate, circa 4 minuti). Qui, prendere l’autobus n. 12 in direzione “Brè, paese” fino al capolinea. Camminare circa 3 minuti per raggiungere la struttura.  "The Secret Garden" is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the timeless tranquility of an ancient Ticinese village. This historic property is situated in the heart of the charming streets of Brè, a picturesque hamlet surrounded by nature, just minutes away from the breathtaking views of Lake Lugano and its vibrant city. As you walk through the characteristic cobblestone paths, you'll be welcomed into a bright living room furnished with a comfortable three-seater sofa, a coffee table, a dining table for four, and a cabinet with a flat-screen TV. The true highlights of this space are the large stone fireplace and the traditional decorative flooring, which lend the room a captivating historical and rustic character. The kitchen, adjacent to the living room and equipped with essential appliances and kitchen utensils, combines the charm of the era with modern comfort. On the upper floor, the house offers three spacious bedrooms with wooden floors—two with double beds and one with a single bed—all featuring wardrobes or coat racks for storing clothes and personal belongings. The large bathroom, with its classic touches, is complete with a bidet and a bathtub. From the sleeping area, guests can access the lovely private garden, which includes a table for outdoor dining and comfortable loungers to enjoy the wonderful mild climate of Ticino. A set of towels is provided for each guest in the living room, along with bed linens, blankets, and a welcome kit. We also leave a basket with essentials for breakfast. Free Wi-Fi is available for guests. Please note that there is no private parking. There are two large paid parking areas approximately 200 meters away. Nearby:  “The Secret Garden” is located in the heart of the historic nucleus of Brè along the “Art Road,” a path that allows visitors to admire works by leading contemporary local artists. Just a short walk from the property, the Wilhelm Schmid Museum offers a chance to discover the history and creations of the homonymous artist. Furthermore, the summit of Monte Brè provides stunning views of the Gulf of Lugano and the surrounding mountains, along with numerous nature trails. The city of Lugano, situated at the foot of the mountain and also accessible via the funicular, offers a wide range of services and attractions. How to get there:  By car: From the A2 highway, take the “Lugano Sud” exit and drive along Lake Lugano towards the “Castagnola” area. From Strada di Gandria, begin the ascent towards the village of Brè along Via Aldesago. It takes about 25 minutes from the highway exit to reach the property. By train: From Lugano station, take bus number 2 towards Castagnola and get off at the “Lugano Centro” stop (3 stops, approximately 4 minutes). From there, take bus number 12 towards “Brè, paese” until the last stop. Walk about 3 minutes to reach the property.
