Gropiusstadt (or 'Gropius City', named after the architect who designed it) is a district of Berlin, belonging to the Neukölln district. The newly created district was designed by architect Walter Gropius in 1960 and became famous thanks to the popular novel 'We, Children From Bahnhof Zoo', where the protagonist spent her childhood and adolescence here.
