Hakenfelde is a district of Berlin, belonging to the district of Spandau. The district is located in the natural area of the Zehdenick-Spandau Havel plains whose name derives from a dairy built in 1730 on the outskirts of Spandau, named after its owner, the merchant Johann Ludwig Haake. Almost two-thirds of the district consists of the Spandau Forest, a much-visited green area with a deer park, walking and cycling routes such as the Berlin Wall Trail, the Berlin-Copenhagen Cycle Trail and the Havel Cycle Trail.
