The apartment has two entrances: the main one leading to the foyer and another one from the private garden, which leads directly into the spacious living room with its striking fireplace (not usable). The entrance leads to the eat-in kitchen and the magnificent dining room, which overlook the terraces surrounding the property. The dining room is undoubtedly dominated by the massive late 1900's wooden table, which can comfortably seat up to 6 people.

The refined fabrics of the curtains and the cream-colored walls, decorated with artwork made by the owner, create an extremely welcoming living area, making this apartment an ideal place to relax or work in peace. The large living room, featuring an elegant inlaid floor made from different types of marble, overlooks a garden that is completely available to guests and is furnished with a swing and a table for four with matching chairs. The antique wooden wardrobe in the living room conceals the 55" Smart TV, which faces two elegant sofas upholstered in fine fabrics.

The kitchen, along with the apartment's two bathrooms, was completely renovated in spring 2025. Guests have access to a comfortable table for 4, a full kitchen, and all the latest amenities, from a stove top to an electric oven, from a dishwasher to a Nespresso coffee machine.

The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms, two of which have split air conditioning, as do the living room and eat-in kitchen. A long corridor leads to the bedrooms and to the two bathrooms, each with a spacious glass shower box. The washing machine is located in one of the bathrooms. Hot water is provided by two boilers, while the property is centrally heated.

We are precisely located in the middle of the old medieval city. Piazza Maggiore is the main square of Bologna and is encircled by the most important buildings of the city. The most ancient is Palazzo Podesta, which dates back to 1200 and is surmounted by the Tower dell'Arengo, which by the ringing of its bells gestures all the people in the vicinity to gather together. The Palazzo di Re Enzo is behind it and is renowned for its pedestrianized quadrivium, it is surmounted by a groined vault with special the acoustic properties. Parking:
The apartment is within the restricted traffic area (ZTL) and an access-ticket is required. You may park in the street, on the places indicated with blue stripes, free of charge on Sundays and every night from 20:00 to 8:00; and upon payment (red parking meter) during the day.  
Another option is the garage of Piazza Galileo 5 (access from Piazza Roosevelt) or the one of Via Barberia 13, very close to the apt. Here you may also fill a form to get access to the restricted traffic area.

Information to consider about moving around central Bologna: For stays of 3 months and longer, it is possible to apply for a full-permit entry to the historic centre valid for the duration of your stay. For guests who stay for a short period of time the Municipality acknowledges entrance to the city centre valid for only 3 days during the course of the month. 

As an alternative, you can park in the parking lot of Piazza 8 Agosto (€ 24 per day, or € 200 for the entire month).

The apartment was completely renovated in March 2022; original furniture from the 1970s has been refurbished and modernized to be placed side by side with more modern and colorful elements. For the floors, it was chosen to keep the original marbles, which blend well with the sage color of the furnishings and which allow to highlight the darker green of doors and windows. In this way, an extremely trendy style with a marked vintage taste has been created, capable not only of ensuring guests a pleasant stay in a refined setting, but also of spoiling them with all the most modern comforts. The heating is centralized throughout the building; air conditioning is present in the living room and in the 2 bedrooms, while in the study there is a fan.

As soon as you enter the house, you can store your coats in the spacious entrance which, on one side opens towards the living area, on the other leads to the corridor where the bedrooms are located. In the living room you will see a beautiful wooden bookcase, next to which there is a single sofa bed (80 x 200 cm) and a coffee table made of glass. In front of the relaxation area, above the piano (not working), the Smart TV hangs, with which you can connect to internet. 

The open kitchen develops on the side of the living room. It is a modern kitchen, which hides a complete kit inside its white lacquered wall units and offers induction burners, dishwasher and oven. The furnishings are completed by a beautiful crystal table for 6 people and a small, but roomy, wooden sideboard.

The sleeping area consists of 2 bedrooms, a study, 2 bathrooms and a small laundry room. Both bedrooms have a wardrobe (one of them is partially occupied) and a desk, complete with seat. In the master bedroom, where a bright red sofa and a beautiful antique trunk stand out on the oak parquet, there are 2 single beds (80 x 200 cm) that can be joined on request to form a double bed. In the guest bedroom, which has a balcony overlooking the internal courtyard, there is a comfortable double bed (160 x 200 cm). The third room is a study that houses a graceful fireplace and custom-made storage unit: the room is equipped with a single Empire-style bed (80 x 200 cm) and has a floor made of two-tone resin.

The bathrooms are full of character, thanks to the antique mirrors that cover the walls and the bespoke wooden shelves where the washbasins are placed. In one bathroom there is a large crystal shower cabin, while in the second, guests have a bathtub (with hand shower) at their disposal. 

Being located in an area close to the university district, but away from the busiest streets, the property remains quiet, thanks also to the double glazing that has been mounted in the rooms overlooking the street.

The useful laundry area is equipped with a washing machine and dedicated sink, as well as large wardrobes useful for storing your luggage.

Public transportation: 
The apartment is located in a highly strategic position thanks to its proximity to via dell'Indipendenza and via Irnerio, where buses pass and allow you to easily reach every point of the city, such as the Fair and the train station (also less than 15 minutes on foot).

Parking:
The apartment is located within the Restricted Traffic Area (ZTL). It is possible to find parking outside the ZTL, along via Irnerio within the blue lines, by paying the hourly ticket (red parking meters). Parking is free on public holidays; and from Monday to Saturday from 20:00 to 8:00. Lovely three bedroom two bathroom apartment with terrace, fully renovated in February 2015 and fitted with parquet and air conditioning. Located on the 3rd floor of a residential building (with elevator) in the very heart of Bologna, it overlooks the internal courtyard of the building, thus offering a very quiet environment.

Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and are provided with bed linens and towels. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the apartment to explain how everything works and to hand over the keys. During your stay, our staff is available to address any requests or concerns.

This spacious apartment of 140 sqm, located on the 3rd floor, opens onto the large living area, which overlooks a small patio connected through a balcony door. Thanks to its top floor position and the many windows, the living room is extremely bright. Moreover, a colorful closet offering plenty of space is at disposal of the guests, who can use it to store their personal belongings.

The living room is furnished with a large microfiber sofa-bed (160 x 200 cm), a cabinet with a 32" flat-screen TV and an elegant glass table seating up to 8 guests.

The hide-away kitchen is custom-made in polished steel and comes equipped with dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and microwave.

The warm parquet flooring stretches to the corridor, which leads into the night area.

The night area consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The master bedroom is furnished with light-colored furniture creating a relaxing atmosphere, and it has a comfortable double bed, a large wardrobe and a desk.

The second bedroom has two single beds and a spacious wardrobe.

A wrought-iron staircase painted in white leads upstairs to the third bedroom: it offers plenty of space, and it comprises two comfortable sofas, one of which can be folded out to a French bed (140 x 200 cm ), a large table made of glass and steel and some custom-made pieces of furniture.

The bedroom also opens out onto the terrace, which offers great views of the red brick roofs typical of Bologna historical center.

Area:
The apartment has a great location within walking distance from the center of Bologna, just 850 meters from Piazza Maggiore, Palazzo di Re Enzo and Piazza del Nettuno, and about 650 meters from the world-renowned medieval towers Garisenda and Asinelli.

A few minutes’ walk allows you to reach the famous University of Bologna, located in Via Zamboni (650 meters), the Botanical Gardens (700 meters) and the Museum of Palazzo Poggi (500 meters).

Less than 10 minutes away is also the Museo Civico Medievale (Civic Museum of the Middle Ages), housed since 1985 at Palazzo Ghisilardi, one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture in Bologna.

Located in the building next to the university, which is also home to the Academy of Fine Arts, the National Art Gallery of Bologna offers paintings and works of arts from churches and monasteries around the city.

Bologna’s main shopping streets - Corte Isolani and the ‘Golden Quarter’ (Quadrilatero) around Piazza Bologna - are also in close proximity. Moreover, in the area you find numerous restaurants, bars and shops (bookstore, newsagent’s, small supermarkets, bakery shops, pharmacies).

Just around the corner, in Via Moline itself, you find a typical delicasetessen selling hand-made pasta.

Public Transportation: 
This is a very strategic area: in Via Moline you can take the bus line C. The central station is about 1 km away and can be reached by buses A and 11 in Via Indipendenza corner with Piazza VIII Agosto.

Parking: 
The apartment is located within the limited traffic area (ZTL). The nearest garage is just outside the ZTL, in Piazza 8 Agosto (underground parking). € 200 per month or € 24 for 24h. 
We advise guests to reach the garage by entering the center from Porta San Donato, then go straight through Via Irnerio, then turn left in Via Alessandrini and finally turn right in Via Ciro Menotti. The entrance of the garage is at the end of this street. The apartment is located less than 200 m. from there.
