Atalaya is a district of the Ciudad Lineal in Madrid. Its area of only 24.89 hectares makes it the smallest administrative district in the city. It has a population of 1,570 inhabitants (2016). It is bordered to the north by the district of Costillares, to the south by Colina, to the east by Pinar del Rey (Hortaleza) and to the west by Nueva España (Chamartín). It is bounded by Cuesta del Sagrado Corazón, Añastro, Mesena, Emeterio Castaños, Arturo Soria, Nudo de Costa Rica and Avenida de Paz streets.
