The University of Languages and Communication IULM (or IULM University) is a private Italian university in Milan, founded in 1968 by the French scholar Silvio Federico Baridon, together with the man of letters and senator for life Carlo Bo. The main body of the Milan campus, designed by engineer Roberto Guiducci and architect Lorenzo Guiducci, was completed in 1993. The University was founded in 1968 by the Foundation Higher School for Interpreters and Translators, at the request of Professor Silvio Federico Baridon, as the University Institute of Modern Languages (IULM). IULM University is organized into three faculties: Arts and Tourism, Communication, Interpreting and Translation.
