Stuttgart, an extra-circular city in southern Germany, is the capital of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg and the administrative district of the same name.
The city has about 635,911 inhabitants and covers an area of about 207 km².
Located close to the Black Forest, living and working in Stuttgart means enjoying the comforts of the city and the beauty of living close to nature.
Stuttgart is one of the leading cities in the German economy. It owes its prosperity to the manufacturing industries, particularly in the automotive, electronics and component sectors.
The city and its surrounding towns are home to the headquarters of the Porsche, Daimler, Bosch and Mahle car companies.
For these reasons, Stuttgart has been renamed 'the home of the automobile'.
The city is also famous for its cultural life: the prestigious University of Stuttgart, which dates back to 1829, is located here. Since 1919, the Stuttgart Observatory, one of the country's most important research centres, has been here.
Museums, events, fairs and theatres make the atmosphere full of opportunities for lovers of culture and history.
